We are leaving a legacy of good citizenship in VPK2 as we learn about the voting process. Yesterday the children voted for a class president in a mock election. As a result, we had two candidates; Adrielle and Danielle. Today, the children voted for the candidate of their choice. Congratulations Danielle, she won the majority vote. Adrielle will be our VP. Congratulations girls!

This Week’s Highlights

Today we read the book, “Clifford for President”, and learned what it means to be a good citizen. We also made scientific guesses with Mr. Greg as we played , “Sink or Float”

Today we painted leaves, and wrote what we were thankful for. Check the board outside our room for what your child is thankful for.  We also continued letter review, and beginning sounds.

Today we will add words to our word wall, review our class names, and find and count acorns. Thank you Kagan for the beautiful hand designed box for me to store our acorns. She also helped me find them outside.

Today we will play, “Jump in the Leaves”, a word rhyming game and be a leaf.

Today we will draw/ label our favorite character in the book of the week,“The Big Leaf Pile”
