About Our Teachers

Alicia Rauchwarger – Lead Teacher

Hello! I am Alicia Rauchwarger. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, and attended the DuBow Preschool and the Bernard and Alice Seleven Religious School at the Jacksonville Jewish Center. After graduating from Stanton College Preparatory School in 2003, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree in English Education, as well as, a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida.  I taught Special Education for six months, and then Language Arts for four years in Duval County Public Schools before having my son in 2012. After four years staying home with my two kids, I began teaching VPK at the DuBow Preschool. I am eagerly anticipating a year of fun, learning, and growth!

Carolyn Kershaw – Assistant Teacher

Hi, I’m Carolyn Kershaw. I’m a mom of three amazing children. My daughter is a junior in college. My oldest son is 13 and is in middle school. My youngest son is 3 and attends the DuBow Preschool.  I’ve been working with children from infants to school age kids in preschools for more than 11 years. I’ve been a VPK Assistant for the last six years. This is my favorite age group. I love helping the children create good learning habits. It is truly a blessing to see the children’s amazing growth and development throughout the year.
