Busy as a Bee! April 17, 2013

Shalom!

Tzeeporim 2 has had a very BUSY week. On Thursday, April 11 Tzeeporim 1 and 2 traveled to the Diamond D Ranch! This was such an exciting day, especially because it was many of the children’s first time on a school bus! We had a fun day at the ranch with getting to ride horses, taking a tractor ride, and feeding some fish! It was an experience that I’m sure the children (and the parents) will never forget!

Thank you to all the parents that were able to come out and help us on this day. We all had an amazing time!

Sunday, April 14 was our Community University at the JJC and here in the DuBow preschool we celebrated Israel’s birthday! We had some new friends join us and had an eventful morning of crafts, Israeli dancing, and story time with Ms. Ilene!

On Monday, we had a birthday party for Israel! We decorated hats, got our flags ready, and paraded down to the indoor playground for the celebration. Morah Rachel and Morah Mirimam took us on a pretend airplane trip to Israel and we celebrated Israel being 65 by singing, dancing, and of course by eating some CAKE!

We have been learning about Spring the past two weeks. We read “Down by the Bay” by Raffi and made our own silly rhymes to go with the story. We are also learning about other Raffi books and we all love how Raffi sings his stories to us!

Our handwriting is getting great and our math skills are contining to strengthen! I must say, I have a group of 14 students who are getting ready for Kindergarten and will continue to be great, smart students!

Friendly Reminders 🙂

Please remember that it is required for your student to have closed toe shoes at all times. Although the  weather is getting GORGEOUS out, we want your little ones toes to be protected and to not cause any injuries with open toed shoes.

Summer is right around the corner and even though it is getting hot outside our room does still continue to get cold. Please feel free to leave a jacket in your child’s cubby so that when they get chilly while we are inside they have something to warm up in.

Please check out Camp KiTov! Brochures are in the lobby- your child will have a fabulous time in a nurturing Jewish environment with counselors and friends they know! 🙂

Important Dates:

April 19- Parent- Teacher conference day. No School  Kids Club is available for the day (Reservation required) and there will be Kids Club going on while the conferences- No charge.

May 2- Dubow Preschool Shabbat Dinner. Please join us for this family Shabbat! It’ll be a great night!
