This week has kept Tzeeporim 2 very busy preparing for Thanksgiving! While preparing for Thanksgiving, we read our Focus Book “Feast for Ten” and other Thanksgiving themed books.
Monday began our very busy week. Our morning began with cooking for our Thanksgiving program. A huge thank you to the parents that came in to help us cook our yummy treat- mini pumpkin pies! The students all had a wonderful time cooking for their families and friends that will be joining us on Wednesday!
We then began on our last Thanksgiving craft – turning ourselves into Pilgrims….well sort of 😉 . Students’ worked to paint cups for the craft and to take pictures for the craft.
We also completed our first winter themed project of the year for the preschool art gallery- Keep an eye out for your little artist’s work! 🙂
Monday was also our first practice for our Intergenerational Day program. The kids were all very excited to sing along to all the songs and see their friends up on the Bima! Take a peek at your little ones dressed as pilgrims for our Thanksgiving craft-
Tuesday was our dress rehearsal for our program- as you can see, students worked extremely hard preparing together for this special day! We all loved seeing our classmates dressed up and comparing costumes with each other! After a busy morning, Tzeeporim finished our morning with exploring centers and working with Ms. Carolyn and myself.
Ms. Carolyn worked with students to on a Thanksgiving themed math project, while students’ worked with me to complete a Thanksgiving themed emergent reader. Emergent Reader’s introduce students to basic sight words as well as other skills. Our emergent reader this week was “Five Little Turkeys”. It allowed students an opportunity to be introduced to basic subtraction skills.
Wednesday was the big day! Although I was not able to be there for this special program, Ms. Carolyn let me know how wonderful your cuties did! Take a look into our morning prior to our program and pictures during our Thanksgoving program!
We also celebrated Kenny’s birthday- Happy birthday, Kenny!!
