After such a busy two weeks, this week has been slightly calmer for Tzeeporim 2! We have been enjoying getting back in our “normal” schedule and learning routines! This week we have been learning about the zoo. We read “Baby BeeBee Bird” and the students LOVED it! We are making lions and writing about our favorite zoo animals. We are also working on understanding the concepts of addition and subtraction. We had a lot of fun acting out addition and subtraction problems with our class. The kids loved coming up and figuring out if there was “more” or “less” friends than before!
In Jewish Studies, we have starting learning about Shavuot. We had a good time acting out a story about Rabbi Ackiva and his students!
I wanted to thank all of the parents for your time on Friday for parent conferences. I loved having the opportunity to sit and talk with you about your children. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assure you that your child is ready for Kindergarten!
April 25: Spring pictures. I have sent home more information about this day and also e-mailed what the photographer requests for the children to wear. Please let me know if you have any questions.
May 1: Class picture day- More information to come about this day 🙂
May 3: Preschool Shabbat dinner! The dinner will take place from 6-7:30 PM. It’ll be a great night to get together with the preschool and sing our favorite Shabbat songs!
Please check out the brochure for Camp KiTov at the Jacksonville Jewish Center. Your child can enjoy a summer in a nurturing, Jewish environment with teachers that they know and love! If you have any questions please ask Shereen or my self for more information! It’ll be a great summer!
I would also like to start planning an end of the year party for our class. I will be getting in touch wtih Galit, our class mom, about figuring out a good day to do this. I would like to spend the morning with the kids enjoying crafts, games, and food to celebrate being Kindergartners! I would like to do this in the middle to end of May.
