Tzeeporim 2 News – December 6, 2012

We had a great week in Tzeeporim II!
Our theme of the week was Hanukkah.  We learned about the Maccabees soldiers, the miracle and the symbols of the holiday.
We were busy making Hanukkah crafts, reading stories and practicing for our program.

On Monday we went to the Discovery Studio and worked with Mr. Greg on creating a marble maze.  We became engineers as we problem solved, manipulated materials and created a maze that would allow the marble to pass through each possible trap.  We will continue to work on this maze and it will be displayed in the near future.  The cool thing is that it will be connected to the mazes made by the other classes to make one giant school maze!

Coach Rebecca had us moving and grooving.  The obstacle course she set up was a little tough, but lots of fun!
We hope all our VPK kids will be joining us for our big performance on Monday, Dec. 10.  We will be up on stage in our production called, “Latkes, Candles, Action!”
Here is our plan:
5:15 Drop your child off in our classroom so we can get ready!
Then you can go get a seat in the gym or join Minyan in the Chapel.
5:45 The show begins!!
6:15 Community menorah lighting (bring your menorah, candles and lighter and join in)
6:30 Latkepalooza Dinner (Adults $12, Children free; RSVP to Rose at 268-4200 ext. 110 by today!)
There will be crafts, dreidel games and stories.
We will be traveling on Wednesday, Dec. 12 to River Garden to sing for the residents and deliver the beautiful Hanukkah cards our families made on Intergenerational Day.  We are still looking for a couple of drivers.  If you are able to drive, please call Dina by Friday at 268-4200 ext. 143.
